Of the 19 endemic bird species in
Puerto Rico, 16 of those species are
found in El Yunque, although some of
them are rare in the Forest (Euphonia,
Elfin-woods Warbler, and Adelaide´s
Warbler). There are three wild
population of our beloved Parrot, one
of them at El Yunque with
approximately 80 wild Parrot.
What we offer?
Our basic bird outing covers PR-191
North Recreational Corridor. if time
allows, we will have time, we will go to
the lowlands and edge of the Forest.
What to expect?
A productive morning will include
endemic bird species, such as:
Emerald, Green Mango, Mango,
Elfin-woods Warbler, Bullfinch,
Spindalis, Tanager, Woodpecker,
Oriole, Tody, and Flycatcher.
At the end of the booking process,
you will be asked to book add-on
extra hours to your birding trip to
look for specific birds: (1) Amazon,
(2) Lizard Cuckoo, (3) Owl. A
full-day option with night owling is
also available on a private basis.

Hilda was amazing!! She catered our two tours to our son’s
interests and both adults and our 10 year old son loved it. We
took the Birding 101 class and the Luquillo Half day tour. We
saw ~20 different birds; several only found in Puerto Rico. My
husband and I were surprised how much we all enjoyed these
outings. Hilda is so knowledgeable and passionate. She really
gets you excited about birding and we were surprised how
much we learned in such a short amount of time. I would highly
recommend this company and will use again in future trips.

Q & A - Shared Bird Outings
Q: I am a solo traveler can I book a birding trip with you?
A: Due to the high volume of birders booking El Yunque from
November through April, some of our birding trips are offered
as a Shared Bird Outing. The minimum required to offer
these bird outings is 2 birders. Once the minimum is reached,
we open the date as a Shared Bird Outing which makes it
easier for solo travelers to join other birders. Click the bar to
see scheduled shared bird outings.
Q: I am a solo traveler can I book a birding trip with you?
A: Due to the high volume of birders booking El Yunque from

| If you are looking for slow mobility bird outings, you arrived at the right place! If you need a wheelchair accessible vehicle, we will quote as per your special request. Transportation to be provided in a van with space for 2 wheelchairs. |

and there is no other booking for that date? Solo travelers opening a Shared Event
will be charged the minimum of participants required to offer a trip if the minimum is not
reached.
Rescheduling the trip is not allowed, payments are non-refundable. Solo travelers must
provide his/her own transportation.
Shared Events are only available for the following birding trips: Half-day Luquillo,
